Remsen’s Annual Oktoberfest Celebration
2024 Event: Saturday, October 26
Since 1973, the community of Remsen has celebrated Oktoberfest annually on the last Saturday in October. The event’s mission is to carry on the community tradition of the Luxembourg and German heritage while celebrating the end of harvest.
Start the day browsing and shopping craft and vendor fair from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at MMCRU with over 75 vendors. Breakfast and lunch will be available.
The Remsen Heritage Museum will be open from 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
Then head over to Remsen St. Mary’s High School for Bavarian entertainment, including:
-tapping of the MARTO Golden Keg at 1 p.m. (free while it lasts!)
-beer garden open from 1-11 p.m.
-children’s Bavarian costume and dance contest at 1:30 p.m.
-all you eat German, Luxembourg, and American feast will run from 4-7:30 p.m. (ticket are $20 and sales end at 7 p.m.)
-Jim Kucera Band 2:30-6:30 p.m.
-The Alpensterne Band 7-11 p.m.
